Mechanical Engineer PE I

About the role

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (PE I) to apply standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, and improve products, components, and assemblies within the energy infrastructure sector. The role involves both office‑based design work and field visits to ensure solutions meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Sign and seal engineering documents in accordance with professional standards.
• Analyze, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems.
• Improve existing systems and create new projects from concept to completion.
• Design and draft blueprints, conduct field inspections, and manage project timelines.
• Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of assignments.
• Perform work under general supervision, handling complex issues and escalating the most challenging problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and mathematical abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to work in confined spaces, lift 20–100 lb objects, and travel 5–10 % of the time.
