Mechanical Engineer (NYC Code Experience)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in New York City building codes to join our remote design team. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to produce code‑compliant mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings that meet NYC building code requirements.
• Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for a variety of projects.
• Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to ensure design compatibility and regulatory compliance.
• Revise and update technical drawings based on project specifications and mark‑ups.
• Conduct technical reviews and contribute to project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of New York City building codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, fully remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
