Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical Tooling

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer you will apply your strong foundation in physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical problems, design custom tooling and support the handling, assembly and disassembly of components throughout the product life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Develop, design or modify mechanical layouts, schematics and specifications for challenging scopes.
• Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components, identifying critical parts and subsystems.
• Lead or execute projects, develop key suppliers and generate mechanical product specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4‑7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including CAD, thermodynamics and sheet‑metal design.
• Preferred knowledge of Applied Materials product life‑cycle, prototyping, packaging and material selection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Understanding of thermodynamics.
• Sheet‑metal design expertise.
• Material selection and manufacturing methods.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Flow analysis.
• Design for Excellence principles.

• Salary range: $108,000 – $148,500 per year.
