About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Department of Defense workforce under a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation. The position is located in Fort Drum, NY (with additional locations in Jersey City, NJ and Watervliet, NY) and supports construction projects for the DoD.

Key responsibilities

Work under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer.
Receive work assignments that define priorities and specific construction requirements.
Prepare and review mechanical aspects of construction plans prior to construction activities.
Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Required profile

U.S. citizenship eligible for DoD employment.
Qualified mechanical engineering background.
Ability to work in a competitive service environment.
Willingness to be assigned to any of the listed locations.
