Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Pegasus is building domestic manufacturing capacity for NdFeB permanent magnets and precision actuators. We need a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and scale the equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems that will power our magnet and actuator production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, fixtures, tooling, manufacturing equipment, and production infrastructure using CAD (Fusion).
• Develop and optimise processes for magnet processing, motor manufacturing, actuator assembly, and factory automation.
• Specify components, tolerances, materials and manufacturing methods for demanding industrial environments.
• Build prototypes, conduct experiments, analyse results and iterate designs rapidly.
• Collaborate with machine shops, fabrication partners and vendors to move designs from concept to production.
• Author technical documentation, assembly procedures, test plans and operating instructions.
• Support factory commissioning, process improvement and scaling as production grows.

Required profile

• Proficiency in CAD (Fusion preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with machining, fabrication, prototyping or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical intuition and ability to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Comfort working directly on hardware and spending time on the factory floor.
• Strong attention to detail and engineering rigor.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced build‑measure‑learn environment.
• Availability to start soon.
