Mechanical Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials designs, builds and services cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. As a Mechanical Engineer III you will leverage physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical problems and develop custom tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes.
• Oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet‑metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T and flow analysis.
