Mechanical Engineer III – Advanced Equipment Design

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer III you will apply physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical challenges, design custom tooling, and support the full product life‑cycle of semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering test reports.
• Develop, design, or modify mechanical layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Lead or execute projects, develop key suppliers and generate mechanical product specifications.
• Design and implement custom tooling, fixturing and processes for handling, assembly and disassembly of components.
• Specify, review and maintain engineering documentation and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet‑metal design, material selection and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of GD&T, flow analysis and Design for Excellence principles.
• Preferred familiarity with Applied Materials product life‑cycle, prototyping and packaging.
