  • Develop and review engineering drawings, models and specifications using CAD and solid modeling software, and perform structural analysis for strength, fatigue and safety.
  • Apply expertise in high-pressure air and hydraulic systems, including component selection, system layout, pressure calculations and safety system design, and review P&IDs and hydraulic schematics.
  • Conduct and support design reviews (PDR, CDR and peer reviews) and evaluate design changes and engineering change orders.
  • Work with vendors and fabricators, review submittals and material certifications, and coordinate factory acceptance testing and witness inspections.
  • Support procurement by developing specifications, statements of work and technical evaluation criteria.
  • Write and review technical reports, design memos, field reports and lessons learned, and maintain configuration control of design documents.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field technicians and operations staff, and communicate technical findings and risks clearly.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar) from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience in design, analysis and project lifecycle management.
  • Ability to work in field environments, including industrial and outdoor settings, with about 33% travel expected.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Required skills

  • CAD and solid modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or similar).
  • Structural analysis and reading and producing engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Preferred: high-pressure air/hydraulic system design, ASME or ANSI standards, design review leadership, PE license or EIT certification, and mentoring experience.

What we offer

  • Salary range of $85,000 to $115,000.
  • Health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays.
