Mechanical Engineer – 3D Designer (Early Career)

About the role

Join Siemens' Electrification and Automation Business Unit in Wendell, NC, as a Mechanical Engineer focused on 3D design. You will work on energy management equipment, turning customer concepts into detailed 3D models and production‑ready parts.

Key responsibilities

• Design parts and assemblies in 3D from concept to final model under the guidance of a mentor and senior engineer.
• Collaborate with the factory manufacturing team to resolve design challenges during production.
• Create Bills of Materials, develop new assemblies, validate functionality, and release designs to production.
• Identify and propose design enhancements to improve product performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (must be completed before start date).
• At least one year of experience with 3D modeling, either professionally or through academic projects.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
