Mechanical CSU Engineer – Thacker Pass Project

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical CSU Engineer to support the commissioning and startup of the Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada. The role provides technical expertise, training, and consultative support for mechanical systems throughout the facility’s transition to operation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide discipline‑specific knowledge and guidance during facility commissioning and startup.
• Participate in work planning, turnover coordination, and material management activities.
• Support quality control, environmental, safety and health processes for mechanical systems.
• Deliver specialized technical advice to project teams and assist with troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical equipment.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in large‑scale industrial projects.
• Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and handover procedures.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in a high‑desert environment and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
