Mechanical Construction Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join the nation’s largest mechanical contracting firm. The role focuses on accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects valued up to seven figures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precise takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, process piping, fire protection, and occasional electrical scopes.
• Read and interpret specifications, bid documents, and applicable codes.
• Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
• Attend site walkthroughs and job inspections to gather accurate data.
• Obtain and compare bids from vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update estimating software and related tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial mechanical subcontractor.
• In‑depth knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong proficiency with estimating software and related tools.
