Meat Clerk – Full‑Time Afternoon Shift

About the role

Join Sedano’s Supermarkets as a Meat Clerk on the afternoon shift, where you will ensure that our meat and poultry offerings are presented attractively and safely for customers. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, supporting the meat department’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Wrap and package cuts of meat and poultry for display.
• Weigh, label, and price meat and seafood items.
• Lift and transport merchandise from the back room to display coolers.
• Check product quality, monitor "sell‑by" dates, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Label, stock, and conduct inventory of department merchandise.
• Maintain refrigerated cases with clean, appetizing displays.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and company policies.

Required profile

• Ability to follow store policies and safety procedures.
• Friendly attitude with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Willingness to wear the proper uniform and adhere to dress code.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Availability for a full‑time afternoon shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency with meat‑wrapping and packaging equipment.
• Basic math skills for weighing and labeling.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
