Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician – Lake Forest, IL

About the role

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to join its ambulatory clinic in Lake Forest, IL. The physician will provide comprehensive, community‑focused care for high‑risk pregnancies and collaborate across a network of hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver full‑spectrum MFM care in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with OBGYN physicians at six Northwestern Medicine hospitals supporting ~9,000 deliveries annually.
• Provide remote ultrasound services and interpretations for OB/GYN scans across the health network.
• Conduct inpatient high‑risk consultations at Central DuPage Hospital and support OB hospitalists.
• Offer phone guidance to obstetricians at multiple regional hospitals and coordinate maternal transfers when needed.
• Participate in deliveries and procedures as desired.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes geneticists, fetal cardiologists, sonographers, and other specialists.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to community‑focused clinical excellence and exceptional patient experience.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, or a licensed osteopathic physician.
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
