Materials Supervisor

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Materials Supervisor to manage the flow of materials required for the production of autonomous surface vessels. The role involves overseeing inventory control, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring material quality in line with defense standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, storage and distribution of materials for autonomous surface vessels.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, track usage and ensure timely delivery to production schedules.
• Coordinate receiving inspections, negotiate pricing and lead times with suppliers.
• Implement and manage an efficient inventory control system with regular audits.
• Ensure all materials comply with DoD standards and conduct quality inspections.
• Lead a team of material handlers, providing guidance on best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of materials management experience, preferably in defense, aerospace or maritime industries.
• Strong knowledge of DoD procurement procedures and military‑grade material standards.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Proficiency with Oracle.
• Experience using materials management software.
