About the role
Join Applied Materials as a Materials Project Manager supporting supplier and commodity strategies. This entry‑level position is designed for recent graduates eager to apply their academic knowledge to the semiconductor supply chain.
Key responsibilities
- Support execution of commodity and supplier management strategies under senior guidance.
- Assist in maintaining supplier agreements and related documentation.
- Participate in Product Lifecycle Management (PLC) processes to align sourcing with commodity plans.
- Help onboard, qualify, and disengage suppliers as needed.
- Analyze supplier, market, and spend data to inform sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams.
Required profile
- Recent Bachelor’s degree (within 12 months) in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with common business applications.
What we offer
- Salary range $60,000 – $77,000 per year.
- Location: Austin, TX.
- Full‑time, new‑college‑grad role with eligibility for relocation assistance.
