Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis to inform outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, managing product development deliverables across buyers, planners, and production control.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret requirements and create new material strategies.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations, including contract negotiation under supervision.
• Execute commercialization (transition) materials plans and manage material change control.
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost) and conduct risk assessments on critical parts.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in materials and supply‑chain disciplines.
• Understands best practices and how the materials function integrates with engineering and manufacturing.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and can lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Solves complex problems, applying judgment from multiple information sources.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, and project activities while working within broad guidelines.
