Materials Project Management Manager (M4)

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a cross‑functional planning process covering make‑vs‑buy decisions, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory and cost elements.
• Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to create build‑to‑order and build‑to‑forecast plans.
• Coordinate with business teams to devise cost‑effective production strategies that meet customer demand.
• Establish best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control, and oversee production scheduling activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in partnership with Finance and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and monitor supplier performance through scorecards.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, machining and assembly teams to ensure 100 % on‑time delivery.
• Represent the materials organization on corporate task‑force teams and manage the department budget and resources.
