Materials Project Management Interview Event – Austin

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display technologies. The company is hosting an on‑site interview event in Austin for candidates interested in Materials Project Management (MPM) roles. This event is scheduled for the week of Oct 5 and requires candidates to attend in person.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis to support outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, managing product development deliverables across buyers, planners, and production control.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, and resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in supply chain, procurement, supplier management, or manufacturing project management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, or a related engineering field preferred.
• Experience with complex equipment parts manufacturing and supplier collaboration.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin during the interview event week of Oct 5.
