Materials Planner – San Antonio

About the role

The Materials Planner will ensure daily part runs are executed smoothly, maintaining optimal inventory levels for JCB's North America operations. You will work closely with senior planners, logistics managers and third‑party logistics providers to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan individual part parameters to achieve corporate inventory goals.
• Manage and coordinate a large number of suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor high‑volume parts flow on a daily basis.
• Track supplier performance for on‑time, in‑full deliveries to the plant and off‑site warehouse.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve supplier or material issues.
• Continuously monitor delivery schedules to meet plant needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to right‑size plant inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of domestic or international logistics experience.
• At least 2 years managing a high number of suppliers or parts.
• One year of planning experience in a Just‑In‑Time environment.
• Associate degree in business management or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP ERP.
