Materials Planner

About the role

The Materials Planner is responsible for managing raw material, packaging, and miscellaneous inventory levels to meet production requirements. This role translates ERP system signals into timely purchase orders, collaborates with suppliers, and ensures compliance with stock policies, shelf‑life constraints, and warehouse capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce inventory policies for raw materials, packaging, and production misc‑items, adjusting stock to optimal levels.
• Generate and monitor purchase orders based on ERP and SAP planning data.
• Update forecasts, run MRP, and schedule inbound bulk tanker receipts.
• Maintain UN‑certified packaging test certificates and regulatory documentation.
• Lead the Material Review Board, identify inventory at risk, and coordinate actions with finance, technical, and production teams.
• Support non‑conforming material reviews and participate in disposition decisions.
• Partner with Strategic Ingredient Supply to forecast demand, negotiate contracts, and qualify new suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret demand signals and optimize stock levels.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with regulatory and certification requirements for packaging.
