Materials Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The Materials Management Manager will lead scheduling, inventory, and supplier performance to support the company’s rapid growth and technology innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production scheduling activities by monitoring materials inventories, tracking production progress, and reviewing factors affecting schedules.
• Support execution of the sourcing strategy to meet business growth and sourcing requirements.
• Monitor and report supplier scorecard performance under direct supervision.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure 100% on‑time delivery.
• Select, evaluate, and manage employees to ensure efficient function operations.

Required profile

• Demonstrates understanding and application of guidelines, procedures, and processes within the materials management function.
• Applies knowledge of how the team is impacted by upstream work of other teams.
• Provides day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, and development of employees.
• Uses judgment to resolve production schedule issues and daily priorities.
