Material Processor Lead

About the role

The Material Processor Lead works with the Supervisor and helps train and develop the team, monitors production performance and ensures production and quality controls are met while following the work instructions for the area of responsibility. This is an onsite role in the Lewisville, TX facility, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Supervisor to reallocate resources (people, supplies, products) to meet customer goals and to coordinate workflow across departments
• Take part in daily stand-ups, internal and external customer or vendor meetings, and 5S audits, and help implement audit-driven changes on the production floor
• Act as point of contact for employee escalations and track the daily attendance roster for emergency evacuation
• Collaborate with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues, and monitor WIP aging, KPIs and SLAs, escalating concerns to the Supervisor
• Deliver on-the-job refresher training and workstation assessments, and monitor inventory levels for the assigned area
• Use shop floor systems such as Oracle; forklift certification is needed if required for the area

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of light manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations
• Proficient and certified in the area being led
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong time management, attention to detail and effective communication

Helpful skills

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations or a similar environment
• Data entry software and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
• Microsoft Word for documents and reports

Pay range: $17,34 to $27,75.
