Material Planner

About the role

Delta Utilities is looking for a Material Planner to manage material requirements, ensure component availability, and coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and production teams. The role is essential for on‑time delivery, cost efficiency, and overall operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and inventory needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase requisitions to keep optimal stock.
• Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and production to resolve shortages, delays, or quality issues.
• Track material flow to guarantee timely availability for manufacturing operations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience using personal computers and related office equipment.
