Material Master Data Specialist

About the role

Join BASF's Performance Materials team in Wyandotte, MI as a Material Master Data Specialist. You will manage master data for polyurethanes across North American sites, supporting product development, sample processes, and R&D activities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain article numbers, material records, and label information (ZD4).
• Coordinate master‑data ownership across SBUs and ensure consistency region‑wide.
• Support SAP master‑data tasks, 3PL set‑ups, toller management, and troubleshoot SAP issues (Z2L).
• Utilize the PROMPT system for article extensions, setups, and material costing.
• Lead projects to improve data integrity, planning processes, and inventory optimization.
• Perform monthly reporting and data analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field preferred; high‑school diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of supply‑chain experience.
• Experience with master‑data/article setups in SAP/SPASS.
• Familiarity with PowerBI, Power Query, or Excel is preferred.
• APICS certification is a plus.
