Material Handler – WMP (Contract)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a WMP Material Handler on a six‑month contract to support the Final Assembly Line for the A220 program at its Mobile, AL manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will coordinate all materials needed for your assembly position and help resolve part shortages.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with Mirabel Procurement Operations and Supply Officers to resolve shortages.
• Coordinate material rescheduling and contingency plans for planned shortages.
• Investigate missing parts, including physical searches and coordination with third‑party logistics (3PL).
• Maintain general coordination with 3PL providers and on‑site workshops.
• Support return flow coordination with Operational Procurement.
• Ensure departmental KPIs for health & safety, quality, and productivity are met.
• Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives such as 5S and workflow consolidation.

• Effective communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to follow and support established procedures and safety standards.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of logistics and material handling processes.
• Familiarity with third‑party logistics coordination.
• Knowledge of KPI tracking related to safety, quality, and productivity.
