Material Handler – Production

About the role

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our production team in Cordova, IL. In this role you will support the safe movement of products across the plant, ensuring that materials are available for manufacturing while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as PIVs, pallet jacks, hand trucks, drum lifts and yard spotters to transport product between buildings and production areas.
• Perform pre‑use inspections, verify equipment condition, and maintain required temperature settings for coolers, trailers and hot rooms.
• Support production, quality and materials control by following SOPs, SAP and PLM processes, completing documentation, and participating in quality programs.
• Record and maintain GMP‑related logs, shipping paperwork, temperature records and inspection reports.
• Promote a safe, clean and compliant work environment by adhering to safety standards, keeping the area hazard‑free and reinforcing safe work practices.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing, agriculture, construction or a similar field.
• 3‑6 months experience operating forklift or other material‑handling equipment.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Operation of pallet jacks, PIVs and drum lifts.
• Basic proficiency with SAP and PLM systems.
• Understanding of GMP documentation and temperature monitoring.
