Material Handler – Onsite in Christiansburg, VA

About the role

Moog is seeking a Material Handler to join its performance‑driven team in Christiansburg, VA. The role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate handling, packaging, and movement of components and finished assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Package components and final assemblies according to detailed packing instructions and generate supporting shipping documentation.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and track material movement using the sales order report.
• Unload incoming materials, verify shipments, enter data into the computer system, and route materials to the appropriate work areas.
• Perform computer‑based tasks such as inventory reconciliation, order scheduling, and data entry.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and work with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow work instructions and training.
• Minimum three years of inventory, manufacturing, or related operational experience.
• Valid driver’s license and mechanical aptitude with good dexterity.
• Quality‑focused mindset and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Accurate data‑entry skills using computer systems.
