Material Handler

About the role

Moog is seeking a reliable Material Handler to join its on‑site team in Blacksburg, VA. You will play a key part in ensuring that components and finished assemblies are packaged, shipped, and received accurately, supporting the company’s high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Package components and final assemblies according to detailed packing instructions and generate supporting shipping documentation.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and manage computer‑based shipping orders, scheduling, and inventory reconciliation.
• Unload incoming materials, verify deliveries, enter data into the inventory system, and route materials to the appropriate work areas.
• Assist with training and cross‑training of team members and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while working with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow work instructions and training.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in inventory management or a combination of inventory and manufacturing.
• Valid driver’s license and mechanical aptitude with good dexterity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Data‑entry experience using computer inventory systems.
