Material Coordinator/Handler III

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Material Coordinator/Handler III to manage daily store activities, inventory control, and material movement in its Austin facility. The role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring timely receipt, accurate tracking, and proper delivery of parts and kits.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize daily store tasks, receive parts, and update inventory records in Oracle, SAP, or other systems.
• Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve non‑conformances.
• Coordinate material pick‑up/drop‑off at vendor sites using a van or truck.
• Prepare and regulate material for cleanroom delivery, replenish line‑side bins, and manage stock movement on the manufacturing floor.
• Review MRP, expedite vendor receipts, and maintain shortage reports.
• Train and certify other Material Coordinators as needed.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles such as pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes, adhering to safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management systems (Oracle, SAP or similar).
• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles (forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, overhead crane).
• Ability to drive a van or truck for material transport.
• Knowledge of cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and non‑conformance processing.
