Material Controller II

About the role

The Material Controller II ensures that all materials required for Worley’s construction, installation and engineering projects are available on time and accurately. This role supports seamless project execution by managing material receipt, storage, and distribution while aligning with sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review blueprints, engineering drawings and product specifications to determine material requirements.
• Maintain material control systems for accurate tracking, receipt, storage and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams to align material availability with project schedules.
• Validate inventory levels, adjust quantities and ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
• Document material requirements for procurement and order processing.
• Collaborate with site teams to deliver materials in correct quantities and timelines.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and promote a solutions‑driven environment.
• Identify material control issues and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure all activities comply with Worley’s safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• University degree in supply chain, engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in material control, supply chain or logistics within energy, chemicals or resources sectors.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation such as blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to plan and execute complex material control tasks with minimal supervision.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Familiarity with sustainability‑driven project requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with material control and inventory management systems.
