Master Production Control Planner

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Master Production Control Planner to manage production, inventory and material resources planning for its Austin manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely material release, supports engineering change orders and collaborates across purchasing, production and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP work order release schedule to provide on‑time material to manufacturing and engineering.
• Perform pre‑shortage analysis, work order variance analysis and reconcile supply and demand.
• Review and validate MRP execution, master scheduling and engineering change orders (ECOs/ECRs).
• Prepare status reports on ECOs/ECRs and participate in floor audits with Finance to resolve WIP issues.
• Communicate material shortages, supplier commitments and recovery plans to production stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in production planning, supply chain or manufacturing.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
