Marketing & Communications Internship

About the role

The Marketing & Communications Internship at GACC Midwest offers a full‑time, 9‑12 month experience in a bilingual, bicultural environment. Interns work onsite at the Chicago office, supporting the MarCom department across a range of digital and print initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and create content for GACC Midwest’s social media channels, schedule posts and analyze performance metrics.
• Produce newsletters, digital and print publications, and promotional materials such as brochures and event flyers.
• Assist with event coverage, photography, video production, and occasional website maintenance.
• Support other departments with marketing, event coordination, and related tasks.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Canva and graphic design; Adobe InDesign is a strong plus.
• Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mass‑mailing programs like Constant Contact.
• Familiarity with web content management systems such as WordPress, Ibexa or Typo3.
• Excellent written English; German language skills are a plus.
