Marketing Communications Coordinator

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator to support the mission, enrollment goals, and community engagement of Chattahoochee Tech College. Working under the Director of Marketing, you will develop and execute integrated communication strategies across digital, print, and in‑person platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to integrated communication plans that unify messaging across media relations, digital platforms, print materials, and campus communications.
• Initiate, research, write, and respond to media inquiries; track activity using media monitoring tools.
• Maintain relationships with local and regional media, advertising, and marketing representatives; manage a media contact database.
• Assist in creating and updating a crisis communications plan in collaboration with campus police, security, and facilities.
• Write and produce internal publications such as newsletters and stakeholder updates.
• Prepare speeches, talking points, fact sheets, letters, and other college‑related materials.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff across campuses to support communication needs and promote programs and events.

Required profile

• Ability to work under general supervision of the Director of Marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
• Experience coordinating cross‑channel messaging and media relations.
• Capacity to develop crisis communication plans and internal publications.
