Market Investigator

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Market Investigator to use software tools, data analysis and investigative skills to identify, resolve and prevent freight exceptions and losses. The role requires professional communication across all management levels and a proactive approach to improving procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and prevent freight exceptions and losses using investigative techniques.
• Maintain consistent communication with management and business departments.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing and refining processes to improve incident response and analysis.

Required profile

• Experience in security, loss prevention or investigation (senior level).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with all management levels.
• Self‑starter able to prioritize, multitask and work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; occasional travel required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with VMS, access control and case management systems.
