MANTECH is seeking a seasoned Maritime Law Attorney to provide expert legal guidance for its operations in Oahu, Hawaii. The role involves interpreting complex maritime statutes, advising on international law of the sea, and ensuring compliance across all maritime activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the final authority for legal interpretation of maritime statutes and international law.
• Develop and validate legal strategies for civil and criminal proceedings and high‑value maritime contracts.
• Approve legal frameworks that protect organizational rights in global maritime operations.
• Validate compliance of maritime logistics and sustainment operations with international treaties and host‑nation port regulations.
• Review specialized maritime subcontracts and charters for offshore support vessels to mitigate legal risks.
• Provide strategic guidance on territorial water transits and maritime security protocols for Special Operations missions.
• Lead, mentor, and guide subordinate legal staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Active bar membership in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Active Public Trust clearance.
• Desired: 15+ years of experience, JD from an accredited law school, experience advising PACOM or USSOCOM, expert knowledge of the Law of the Sea Convention.
