About the role

GridWrap, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Manufacturing/Processing Engineer to develop, optimize, and scale production processes for its grid‑enhancing products. The role is based on‑site in San Diego and focuses on quality, safety, and throughput while supporting the transition from prototype to volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and refine process parameters for new and existing products.
  • Conduct experiments, trials, and data collection to evaluate process performance.
  • Analyze production data, apply statistical methods, and troubleshoot equipment or process issues.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and quality teams to transfer technologies to high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Implement process controls, continuous‑improvement initiatives, and lean methodologies.
  • Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support equipment commissioning, root‑cause investigations, and corrective‑action implementation on the production floor.

Required profile

  • Strong foundation in process engineering and manufacturing/processing methods.
  • Experience developing, optimizing, and scaling production processes.
  • Applied analytical skills, including data analysis, statistical methods, and problem‑solving for process improvement.
  • Background in R&D, experiment design, and technology transfer from lab to production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Familiarity with safety standards, quality systems, and lean/continuous‑improvement tools (Six Sigma, 5S, SPC).
  • Ability to work on‑site, collaborate cross‑functionally, and communicate technical information clearly.
