Manufacturing Technician III

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician III at Applied Materials, you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment that underpins modern semiconductor and advanced‑display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Use work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs, and conduct audits of parts for availability and defects.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Complete required documentation, including data entry, and perform computer programming, software installs or repairs as needed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree.
• 2–4 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Relevant technical training and certifications.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Computer programming and software installation.
