Manufacturing Technician II – Weekend Shift

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to work weekend shifts in its Austin clean‑room facility. The role involves building, repairing and testing high‑value display and wafer‑fabrication equipment, ensuring components meet strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot faults, identify and correct errors, and document work.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify functionality of sub‑assemblies.
• Conduct parts audits, inspect for defects and ensure required components are available for production.
• Enter progress, labor and expense data into computer systems and may perform basic computer programming or software updates.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear protective equipment and report any hazards or incidents.
