Manufacturing Technician II (T2) – Austin

About the role

Manufacturing Technician II works hands‑on in a cleanroom to build, test and repair multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. The role involves electro‑mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and ensuring parts availability while adhering to safety and cleanroom protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot errors and conduct repairs.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies.
• Enter progress, expense and labor data into computer systems and may perform software installs.
• Receive parts, audit inventory, inspect for defects and ensure required components are available.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant cleanroom environment, following all safety and PPE requirements.

Required profile

• Physically demanding work requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting and ability to work in noisy environments.
• Experience with cleanroom gowning protocols and PPE compliance.
• Ability to work 40‑60 hours per week, including scheduled Saturdays.
• Understanding of how duties integrate within a team and production flow.

Required skills

• SAP/IOMS familiarity for automated work instructions.
• Proficiency with calibration tools, helium leak check fixtures, and overhead crane operation.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Basic computer programming, software installation and repair.
