Manufacturing Technician (Cleanroom)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, testing and repairing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. The role involves electro‑mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and ensuring parts are free of defects using specialized test equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and process critical chamber components in a cleanroom, performing optical and electrical metrology.
• Assemble, test, and repair electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using test fixtures, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Document work, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support lower‑level technicians.
• Collaborate with engineers on root‑cause analysis, develop new fixtures and improve production processes.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred) with 4–7 years of semiconductor or display manufacturing experience.
• Experience with vacuum processes, chemical cleaning of semiconductor components, and ability to lift 30 lb.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % and work weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Use of electronic and optical measurement equipment.
• Leak detection and vacuum pump operation.
• Computer programming, software installation, and data entry for job documentation.
• Optical and electric metrology tools for part inspection.
