Manufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor role at 3M enables you to work with innovative colleagues worldwide, driving safety, productivity and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Model and enforce safe work behaviors, lead safety audits, conduct meetings and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Directly supervise production and hourly employees, handling shift administration such as time reporting, attendance and overtime.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and cost.
• Plan daily work schedules, allocate assignments and regulate production processes to meet daily targets.
• Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and lead cross‑functional improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma with five years experience) and at least two years of manufacturing experience.
• One combined year of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably three years in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working with hazardous materials and leading cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Hazardous material handling.
