Manufacturing Supervisor (3rd Shift)

About the role

Join 3M as a Manufacturing Supervisor on the 3rd shift, overseeing production operations at our Rockland, MA facility. You will lead hourly teams, ensure adherence to standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct production staff during the 11 PM–8 AM shift.
• Enforce standard work, documented procedures, and quality requirements.
• Manage employee training, certification, and competency maintenance.
• Handle shift administrative tasks such as time reporting, attendance, and overtime.
• Plan daily work schedules, allocate assignments, and regulate production flow to meet targets.
• Use production metrics to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and sustain performance.
• Promote safety, productivity, quality, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (verified before start).
• At least five years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems such as SAP or MES.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles; Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong decision‑making ability in a fast‑paced setting.
