Manufacturing Resource Planner II – PSO

About the role

Join the gas compressor business at Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar company, as a Manufacturing Resource Planner II. You will support the overhaul and restage team for centrifugal compressors by balancing inventory, forecasting parts, and ensuring material availability for projects.

Key responsibilities

• Sequence work to meet delivery dates for multiple critical orders.
• Create and process orders for project and restocking demand.
• Set safety stock and reorder point parameters.
• Develop multi‑year parts forecasts based on product forecasts.
• Support S&OP inquiries with material availability data.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply‑chain to align inventory strategy with product variability, supplier capacity, and cost control.
• Adjust inventory plans according to sales forecasts, custom orders, and demand‑driven orders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience using an ERP system in a parts‑planning role (Infor LN, SAP or equivalent).
• Knowledge of inventory planning concepts and safety‑stock/reorder‑point calculations.
• Related degree or APICS CPIM certification.

Required skills

• ERP systems (Infor LN, SAP or similar)
• Microsoft Power BI or Tableau for reporting and dashboards
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF, queries)
