Manufacturing Project Engineer

About the role

Clorox is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across a production site. The role supports safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing by leading capital projects, driving continuous improvement and optimizing processes such as bulk material handling, processing, packaging, utilities and facility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex capital projects from concept through startup and close‑out, managing scope, schedule, budget and contractor performance.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for Operations and Maintenance, delivering engineering solutions that enhance safety, quality, reliability and efficiency.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations, equipment troubleshooting and feasibility studies to solve technical problems.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that reduce losses and improve operational performance.
• Coordinate the site’s Combustible Dust Program and support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.
• Maintain compliance reporting for environmental permits (water, air, waste) and oversee security‑related engineering processes.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, equipment suppliers, engineering firms and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing capital projects and delivering technical solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and feasibility studies.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS and external partners.
