Manufacturing Project Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead the transition of production operations to its next‑generation Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) facility in Buffalo, NY. This high‑visibility position will directly influence production efficiency, cost performance, and the long‑term manufacturing strategy for the Military Aircraft Group.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate relocation of machines, including de‑commissioning of existing assets and installation of new equipment.
• Track and manage part transitions between facilities, ensuring process prove‑out timelines are met.
• Develop and manage project budgets using Earned Value (EV) metrics; report schedule and cost performance, variances, and re‑baselines.
• Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM), overseeing accurate time and expense charging and resolving budget discrepancies.
• Collaborate with design teams to prioritize and obtain models and drawings needed for part transitions and prove‑out activities.
• Collect and analyze legacy and new process data to evaluate performance improvements and quantify ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (technical degree not required).
• 3+ years of experience in project engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.
