Manufacturing Operations Specialist II

About the role

The Manufacturing Operations Specialist II is a mid‑level, hands‑on position focused on catheter and medical component assembly in a regulated clean‑room environment. You will manage work orders, support production readiness, and collaborate across functions to improve throughput, quality, and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble catheters and other medical components following Manufacturing Process Instructions to meet daily production targets.
• Monitor work order status, operational metrics, and escalate issues to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records, perform material kitting, staging, and Kanban activities.
• Conduct cycle counts, inventory verifications, and reconcile system data.
• Operate microscopes, hot‑box, UV equipment, snap gauge, multimeter, tweezers, and pliers while following clean‑room and line‑clearance procedures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, materials, planning, quality, and R&D teams on product/process issues and new product introductions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑4 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain; preferably 5 years in medical device or catheter assembly.
• Ability to follow written instructions, work in a clean‑room environment, and perform physical tasks required by the role.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Catheter assembly techniques such as lamination, tipping, leak testing, and continuity testing.
• Use of microscopes, inspection equipment, and fine‑assembly tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry.
• Familiarity with MES, SAP/ERP platforms.
