Manufacturing Manager – Process & Continuous Improvement

About the role

Moog is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for new and existing electronic products in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment. The role is based onsite in Phoenix, AZ, and involves close collaboration with engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee qualification of manufacturing processes for new products and drive continuous improvement for existing operations.
• Manage and develop Manufacturing Technicians and Engineers to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
• Define and document procedures, operation sequences, and work instructions.
• Establish time standards, cost estimates, and economic run quantities.
• Lead evaluation, justification, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve process issues and mentor team members.
• Support automation of manufacturing cells to improve stability and reduce labor variation.
• Ensure manufacturability through drawing reviews and provide recommendations.
• Support NC programming, tooling, and fixture design; assist with program prove‑outs and rework.
• Lead project initiatives and cost estimating for new proposals.
• Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of engineering or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of direct management experience.
• Experience with circuit card assembly and sensitive electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IPC and NASA standards for circuit card assemblies.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
