About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. The role works closely with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products while applying lean, automation and continuous‑improvement principles.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fabrication methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
- Coordinate with other engineering teams to release product improvements and new products.
- Apply DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
- Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
- Develop test procedures, evaluate results and assess work methods, procedures and policies.
- Identify root causes, perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and provide corrective‑action reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2‑4 years of related manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong conceptual knowledge for everyday problem‑solving.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to explain complex information.
