Manufacturing Engineer II

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer II will lead manufacturing improvements for Peak Nano’s nanolayer film production in Valley View, Ohio. The role oversees capital upgrades, operation, and troubleshooting of multilayer cast‑film co‑extrusion lines that produce capacitor films, collaborating with all functions to ensure high‑quality, efficient material development and production.

Key responsibilities

• Document and manage standard work instructions.
• Identify material and workflow bottlenecks and implement corrective solutions.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans.
• Resolve film‑quality issues on customer programs.
• Recommend and develop equipment and process upgrades.
• Support scale‑up and commercialization of new technologies.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using the Scientific Method.
• Train extrusion technicians on daily line operations.
• Apply statistical tools to solve complex problems.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to deliver results.
• Implement and promote EH&S standards and safe work habits.
• Install, commission, and operate nanolayer co‑extrusion lines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Web‑handling experience in films, paper, or converting industry.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to learn statistical data analysis.
• U.S. citizenship.
