Manufacturing Engineer – Functional Test

About the role

The Functional Test Manufacturing Engineer develops and maintains functional test processes and equipment for Honda Aircraft Company products. Working closely with Design Engineering, the role ensures that test methods meet design requirements, regulatory standards, and production efficiency goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, document, and optimize functional test processes, tooling, equipment, and quality control methods.
• Create and maintain test documentation to satisfy customer, regulatory, and production requirements.
• Review and approve Engineering Functional Test Procedures and rigging documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify tooling needs, generate requests, and coordinate procurement, receipt, and acceptance.
• Prepare and update functional test production plans and maintain BOM configuration control.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure test requirements are fully met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, tooling, or test equipment support.
• Proven ability to work independently and within Integrated Product Teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.
